The only feature that could perhaps be a good addition to this nice app is the ability to take screen videos.ĭespite its rather basic interface, InstantShot! for Mac presents a good solution for taking screen images for later use. Each of the functions operates well and the images captured matched what was on the screen. The output file format is also easily selected from a number of popular options, including JPEG. There is also an option to change the size of the area to be captured. Users have the options of taking single, full shots, capturing images in a window, taking multiple shots, and using a timer. Clicking it drops down a menu with no graphics, but its selections are labeled well with text.
The menu, which was easy to use, was not in a traditional window, but appeared as a small icon in the top row of the screen. With just a drag and drop in the Applications folder we had no trouble installing InstantShot! for Mac on our test machine. Just as easy to use as it is to set up, InstantShot! for Mac gives any user the ability to capture a full screen shot, portion of the screen, or a timed screen shot in just a few quick steps.
